Development and Delivery of e-learning module on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Critical care management for healthcare workers focused on response to COVID-19 pandemic

SSN has received partnership opportunity with GIZ to prepare the health care professionals in managing Covid-19 through Online-based skills and simulation training. The project duration is from June 2020- August 2020.

Objective of project:

The specific objective of the project is to provide virtual training to health care professionals for the COVID-19 management including critical care.

Project sites and duration:

The project sites will be four of the selected COVID-19 specific hospitals. The sites will be finalized in consultation with GIZ-S2HSP and other relevant stakeholders. 

Major activities to be conducted:

The major activities that will be implemented under the project are as follows:

 

Support GIZ-S2HSP team and the video production company to develop videos PPE, sample collection, critical care and case management with focus on COVID-19 pandemic. 

Development of the content of the e-learning module on IPC and critical care.

Conduct virtual trainings on IPC and critical care using the e-learning platform at 4 COVID specific hospitals in coordination with GIZ-S2HSP and other stakeholders.

Conduct research on the “Effectiveness of Skills and Simulation based e- Learning on COVID-19 management skills among the health care professionals in Nepal” in close coordination with GIZ-S2HSP team
