Geographic coverage: Province 2 and Province 7
The program focused on strengthening the maternal and newborn health care workforce and quality of care through low-dose high frequency in-situ simulation and mentoring in the three selected hospitals of Province-2. These three hospitals and the province-2 has the poorest of the MNH indicators, high case load and has many systemic challenges.The program created sustainable impact within a 2-year period, showcasing remarkable improvements in maternal and newborn health indicators. Notable achievements include a substantial reduction in maternal and neonatal deaths, an overall increase in healthcare providers’ knowledge and skills, and the establishment of key hospital enhancements such as simulation corners, KMC units, and improved infection prevention practices.
